Overview:
Fitzroy is one of Melbourne's most liveable areas. Coffee shops on your doorstep, a great night life and close to the CBD.
In conjunction with Tilbuilt Architectural Design, the Gore St home was renovated from the ground up apart from the main entrance way.
Greenwood consulted with both Tilbuilt and the client in regards to how they were going to use their energy year round, and designed a system which capitalised in the rare roof real estate, whilst tying in with the aesthetics of the surrounds.
Our Distinct Approach:
Before the concrete slab was poured in design stage, Greenwood were on-site to consult about cable and conduit runs underground, as the garage had premium north facing aspect which we wanted to capitalise on. Enphase were also brilliant in their approach to consulting on engineering methods as well.
As space was of a premium on the property, Greenwood designed a system using Enphase Micro-Inverters, for a smaller inverter footprint on the ground level, whilst giving the home owner peace of mind that every single panel is being monitored individually.
System Design:
20 X Canadian Solar 330W Shingled HiDM Panels
Enphase IQ7+ Micro Inverters
Tesla Powerwall 2 w / Gateway
The Outcome:
As space was premium, the Tesla Gateway was custom fitted into the comms area at the front of the house, and the battery housed in the garage. This sets up the house to instal an EV charger long term if they so wish.
The system has reduced the overal usage of the house from the grid dramatically, and the new home build complimented by green renewable energy.
