Living in the Patch, a beautiful part of the foothills of the Dandenongs in Melbourne Victoria is a wonderful part of the world to live and raise a family.
Having energy that is reliable year round has its challenges, with brown and black outs common. For sometimes days on end.
The client took it upon themselves to do something about this.
Greenwood Solutions analysed the homes usage interval data to explore how we could develop a system design together which incorporated north facing roof, with battery technology for a system that would produce energy for the home load, but also store in the battery for night time usage and also in the event of a sustained power outage, so the family could still live comfortably.
As The Patch is full of lush trees and foliage, Greenwood Solutions CEC Accredited Battery team designed a PV system comprising of:
6.6kW Canadian Solar Tier 1 Panels (370W HiKU)
Tigo Optimisers
Clenergy Racking System
Sungrow Battery Hybrid 5kW inverter
Sungrow 12.8kWh battery storage
Sungrow Monitoring platform
Al and his family now have piece of mind that the solar generation is going to reduce their home load during the day, with additional energy generated going into the battery system for both night time usage and also battery backup in the event of a power outage.
