Overview:
Coles are Australia's 12th biggest electricity user.
They are pushing for 100% reliant energy by the end of 2025 and have vowed to slash carbon emissions by more than 75% by the end of the decade, reduce wastage and plastics use, and reach zero emissions by 2050.
Coles emitted 1.6 million tonnes of carbon in 2020 and ranks amongst Australia's largest polluters.
Greenwood were engaged to install a rollout of Coles stores in Victoria due to our strong accreditations, experience and impeccable safety record.
Our Distinct Approach:
System Design:
291 X Trina 340W Tier 1 Panels
1 X SolarEdge SE82.8kW Inverter
150 X SolarEdge P850 Power Optimisers
SolarEdge Monitoring System
"Coles are Australia's 12th biggest electricity user. They are pushing to be 100% reliant on renewable energy by the end of 2025"
The Outcome:
Like all of the PV systems that are installed around Australia for the Coles Group, this is a fantastic step to seeing the group achieve their carbon emissions target by 2050.
SolarEdge inverters and optimisers were installed due to the ability to have rapid shutdown functionality for safety measures, as well as individually measuring output of each panel to ensure that if one is compromised, it doesn't effect the rest of the system production.
Good things are happening at Coles.
