Overview:
In conjunction with our partnership with Epho, Greenwood was responsible for the installation and commissioning of this project.
With 3,200 Risen panels and 18 Huawei Inverters at several locations across the entire roof which was over 23,000 SQM connected to 4 NMI's, the team were faced with one of the biggest North facing tilted arrays every constructed in Victoria.
Our Distinct Approach:
Planning and methodical layout was the key to ensuring this project went smoothly.
As the project was so big, any ways to save time on installation equated to a substantial saving in labour rollout for the stakeholder.
Daily toolbox talks with our team meant that everyone had a say in how to make processes as smooth as possible.
The plaza is reducing their global carbon emissions by 1,741 tonnes per year, which is the equivalent of taking almost 2000 cars off the road.
The Outcome:
Covid - 19 restrictions made this project incredibly challenging due to its scale and technical application, but Greenwood still delivered the project before the expected finish date.
There is over 25km of electrical cable on site, with enough energy created per year by the solar to power 250 houses for a year.
The 1.2MW PV system will produce 4,461kWh of renewable energy per day on average, reducing their CO2 emmissions by 1,741 tonnes per year.
